Pune is getting more metro trains! MahaMetro, the company in charge of the metro, is starting to pick teams to help design new metro stations for Phase 2. This new part will be 31.63 kilometers long and will have 28 stations on two big routes.
One route goes from Kharadi to Khadakwasla and is 25.51 kilometers long with 22 stations. The other route goes from Nal Stop to Manik Baug, which is 6.12 kilometers long and will have 6 stations. These new routes will help people in Pune travel easily.
MahaMetro is starting the process to choose design teams early. They want the new stations to look nice and work well. The teams will work with the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority to make sure the new metro fits well with the city's plans.
