Pune University has shared its budget plan for the year 2025-26. The total budget is Rs 648.03 crore, which is Rs 21 crore more than last year. This budget shows that the university wants to be a great place for learning. They've set aside Rs 7.5 crore to help with research and Rs 12.96 crore for programs that help students grow and succeed.
The university expects to earn Rs 566 crore this year, but they think they'll spend Rs 82.3 crore more than they earn. They're also putting more money into helping students, especially through programs named after Mahatma Jyotirav Phule and Swami Vivekanand. This shows that they care about helping students and making education available to everyone.
Building new places is also important in this budget. They're planning to spend Rs 5 crore to build new centers in Nashik and Ahilyanagar. They'll also spend Rs 3 crore to create a special place for animals, which will help with research.
