In Pune, many people aren't following the rules about High-Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) for their vehicles. Out of about 2.5 million older cars and bikes, only 45,000 have the new number plates, which is just 0.75%. This means most people aren't using HSRPs as they should.
One big reason for this is that many vehicle owners don't know they need to get these plates. Also, the companies that put on the new plates are taking a long time to help everyone. Because of this, many people aren't getting their plates on time.
To fix this problem, Pune's transport authorities are making new rules. If people don't get HSRPs, they might've to pay a fine or even lose their vehicle registration. This means they won't be able to drive their vehicles legally.
If you own a vehicle, it's really important to get your HSRP soon. You need to make an appointment at a special center where trained workers will change your old number plate to the new high-security one.
